Common Questions

What exactly does a registered agent do?

Accepts legal documents, service of process, and state correspondence on behalf of your business. We scan everything the same day and send it to you electronically. Think of us as your official mailbox for legal and compliance documents — except someone is always there to accept delivery.

Can I just be my own registered agent?

If you are a New Hampshire resident, at least 18, and willing to have your home address on the public record while being available there every business day — technically yes. But your business entity itself cannot serve as its own agent in New Hampshire. An owner must serve personally.

What does it cost?

$99 per year. One payment, everything included. No setup fee, no monthly charges, no per-document billing.

How fast do you forward documents?

Same business day. When something arrives at our address for your business, we scan it and email it to you before the day is over. It also goes into your online vault.

What is New Hampshire's annual report?

A required filing due April 1 every year. The fee is $100 ($102 online). It updates the state on your business information — management, address, registered agent. Miss it and there is a $50 late penalty. Miss it long enough and the state can dissolve your LLC.

How do I switch to you from another agent?

Sign up with us. We file the change form with the New Hampshire Secretary of State. The state charges $15 for processing. Done in a few business days.

Does New Hampshire have business taxes?

Yes — a Business Profits Tax (7.5%) and Business Enterprise Tax (0.5%) that may apply to LLCs. These are separate from registered agent and annual report requirements. Talk to a tax professional about your specific situation.

Can I use your New Hampshire address for business mail?

The New Hampshire Secretary of State expects your registered agent to be available for legal and official correspondence. That is our job. We receive service of process, subpoenas, lawsuits, Secretary of State notices, tax correspondence, and compliance documents for your entity.

If a general letter mistakenly arrives at your agent address, we forward it. This is limited to three items per year.

We refuse packages. Google Maps verification postcards, Amazon verification letters, and any other third-party verification mailings are declined.

For general mail needs, we provide a virtual mail service as a separate add-on to our New Hampshire registered agent service. Ask us about it.

Is there a contract?

No. Year-to-year service. If you do not want to renew, let us know before your renewal date and designate a replacement agent with the state.

What if I am forming a brand new LLC?

List us as your registered agent on your Articles of Organization. We are ready to accept documents as soon as the state approves your filing.
